About Debbie Goldberg

Debbie co-founded and operated a legal demonstrative company Tri-Coastal Legal Technologies, which was sold in 2004. Since then she has started a nonprofit company, Beyond the Finish Line, a non-profit company, which purpose is to bring fitness programs into “at-risk” community groups. She is currently working with The Women’s Home, designing walking programs for the woman who reside in the home while working on an extensive recovery program.

She is a new member of the Rotary Club and is becoming involved in the Houston’s Historic East End project.

Debbie was a marathon training coach for Houston Fit Marathon Training program for five years. Houston Fit membership reaches 1,400 each season. In 2005, she became the Organizer of Houston Fit. She is currently training for the Paris Marathon. This will be her 12th marathon.

Debbie will head a committee for the 2007 Chevron Houston Marathon as the liaison between the Houston running clubs and the marathon.

Debbie is a volunteer for Child Advocates, an organization which has court-appointed volunteers who represent the interest of children who are in the CPS system. The responsibility of the volunteer is to research the current residence of the child or children and make a recommendation to the courts as to the best permanent placement of the child or children.

Debbie’s interests are running, painting, ball room dancing, pilates, and weight training. She attends Chapelwood Methodist Church and is in the process of becoming involved with Mercy Street, a Saturday service of Chapelwood, made up primarily of people involved in a recovery program or whose family or friends are in a recovery program.

Debbie is a single mother of two teenagers, and has two adult daughters and three grandchildren.
