Vicki Brentin Bio
A native of Lake Charles, La., Vicki Brentin received her law degree from the University of Houston, a BA from McNeese State University and also attended the Catholic University in France.
After practicing law for a few years, she served for eight years as Senior Manager for CARE, one of the largest private international relief and humanitarian aid organizations. Her interest in community service led her to the Rotary Club of Houston in 1992. She has chaired numerous committees within the club and has also been active at the District level, chairing the Blane Grant program that helped secure over 20 grants for clubs doing immunization projects throughout Houston. She is president-elect of the club and is also leading the club’s newest initiative for Houston’s Historic East End.
Her outside interests include running and cycling. She has completed the New York, Marine Corps and Houston marathons and is currently training for the Paris marathon in April. She is a volunteer coach with the Houston Fit marathon training program. She attends St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church serving as immediate past chair of the Pastoral Council.
She is married to John Brentin, a past president of the Rotary Club of Houston and Partner with Porter and Hedges. They have 3 sons, ages 21, 14 and 12.
