Reality Checks

What an amazing opportunity our Challenger students had in practicing their executive functions at Junior Achievement Exchange City. The Challengers were in charge of managing the bank and making sure the city ran smoothly. Our president, Ryan, had an important job of keeping everyone together, focused and steadily working. He played an amazing role and did it with great professionalism. Our vice president, Jacy, made sure all the bank bills were paid and loans processed. This was her first visit to Exchange City and she learned a great deal about budgeting. Our accounts manager, Anastasia, supervised our bank teller, David Henry, and made sure every student at Exchange City was paid correctly, and that their checking accounts balanced. Our file clerk, Koral, was our organizer and contract manager. She made sure all accounts were in order and filed away correctly. Our students had a great time and learned a lot about the realistic experiences their parents face each day, and that they may one day face themselves.
