Novice and Apprentice Levels Thank Community Helpers,
Grandparents and Special Friends

On recent field trips, Novice and Apprentice students were able to show their appreciation to firefighters and constables for their service. In addition, Novice and Apprentice students were able to show their talent and appreciation on Grandparents and Special Friends Day.

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, to Publish Changes in How Diagnostic Labels will be Applied by Mental Health Professionals

The fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, will be published in May 2013, and like each of the previous versions, DSM-5 will include changes in how diagnostic labels will be applied by mental health professionals.

Monarch Green Initiatives

The Monarch School hosts its first Earth Day Festival

The Monarch School hosted its first Earth Day Festival on April 22, 2013. Activities included an Earth Day proclamation, a “Green Points” presentation, outside walking mini-tour of the campus and tours of our Living Building Challenge eco-friendly studio, and music, dance, and puppet theatre.
