The smiles on the faces of Monarch students and faculty shone as brightly as the sun last Monday morning, and for good reason: it was their first day of school in “Chrysalis”, Monarch’s beautiful new school building! The efforts to raise the funds and to plan for Monarch’s new campus were led by Dr. Marty Webb, Monarch Founder and Head of School, who is quick to share the credit with others.
“Our new campus is a “people miracle,” Dr. Webb said on Monday morning. “Hundreds of people made our dream their dream; our passion, their passion.”
Monarch’s faculty started last March to pack for the move. Then there was more packing in July, two days to move and three weeks of preparing the new 25,000 square foot building to receive their charges. When opening day arrived, the faculty couldn’t have been more ready or more thrilled.
“Our students and their families are so thrilled with our new building,” shared Dr. Debrah Hall, Apprentice Program Director.
We have applied for LEED® certification at the silver level for this new building, the first of three LEED certified buildings on the Monarch Campus. Visit our website to learn how you can help Monarch continue to grow! Click here to watch a slide show of Monarch’s first day!
