Sylvia LeBlanc was born and raised in Houston, and also reared in Lafayette, Louisiana where she spent major holidays and summer vacations. She attended HISD schools excelling in academics and extracurricular activities. Upon graduation, Sylvia attended Sam Houston State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Grounded in family and faith, Sylvia began her career in the nonprofit sector and has since remained dedicated to helping local charities accomplish their respective missions. Sylvia is an accomplished speaker and facilitator who has presented on many topics that include networking, fundraising and volunteerism.

Sylvia is also an experienced event planner, having planned large luncheons, galas, and conferences. The highlight of her special events career has been working for the National Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s National Basketball tournament in March of 2016, the COPA International Soccer Tournament in June 2016, American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and Comcast’s 2016 Olympics Opening Ceremony Celebration. She is also very excited to be volunteering with PrimeSport for the upcoming 2017 Super Bowl VIP festivities.

She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and a mentor with the Girls Rights of Passage. Sylvia enjoys spending time with her daughter Ava Christine, traveling, cooking Creole dishes, and spending time with family and friends.
