Emily Hicks graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. While teaching in Conroe Independent School District, Emily received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Education from University of Saint Thomas in Houston, Texas. Soon after her Master’s Degree, she went back to the University of Saint Thomas to complete a bridge program with courses for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During this time she spent her internship with Monarch’s Transition Services and knew she found her passion. Emily was overjoyed to return to Monarch as a staff member and is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). At this time she is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern earning hours under the supervision of Catherine King MS, LMFT-S, LPC-S.

With her strong background in education, Emily has worked with teachers, parents, and students from all walks of life. She is eager to help with any need and fully believes in the Monarch mission. The Monarch School is one-of-a-kind and she is grateful to be a part of this community.
