Mika Gardaya, M.A.
Mika Gardaya is a member of the multi-disciplinary psychology team providing therapeutic support for the Challenger and Voyager levels. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Washington and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. Mika has a variety of experience working with children both inside and outside of the classroom. Additionally, she has seven years of higher education experience working for the University of Maryland University College Asia in Tokyo and Okinawa, Japan.
She is currently working towards becoming a licensed professional counselor. When not at Monarch Mika enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and reading. She is a volunteer for Grace Hospice of Texas and a member of the Humble Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Mika feels very privileged to be working with such a talented team and such amazing students. The Monarch School provides a wonderful opportunity for growth both as a student and educator and Mika is very excited to be part of such a dynamic, innovative, and welcoming community.
