Kaitlyn attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches TX, where she earned her B.S in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Development. After graduating, Kaitlyn became certified as a Registered Behavior Technician and now has 3 years’ experience working with children/adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in a clinic setting. Kaitlyn has provided group and 1:1 therapy, teaching academics, social skills, and self-care.

Kaitlyn then decided to further her education attending the University of Houston, where she earned her Masters of Education in Professional Counseling. While completing her internship portion of graduate school, Kaitlyn interned for over a year at a private practice providing individual therapy, using a cognitive behavior and/or child-centered play therapy approach. Kaitlyn has assisted in playgroups as well, teaching children skills to manage concerns such as anxiety and impulsivity.

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, spending time with her friends, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers with her family! Kaitlyn has always had a love for working with children and loves their creativity. She very excited to be a part of the Monarch team, where she feels her experience with working with individuals with neurological disorders and experience with counseling, will go hand-in-hand in the classroom!
