Katie Howell, B.A.

Professional Educator - Chrysalis Program
Professional Educators

Katie is a native Houstonian and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 with her B.A. in Psychology.

After graduation, she moved to Budapest, Hungary, where she served as a missionary volunteer for six months at an international school.

It was during this time that her passion for working with children began to blossom.

After moving back to Texas, she began teaching for a private non-profit school where she worked with children of all ages with a wide range of both neurological and physical disabilities.
She continued on to become a Work Program Teacher at The Brookwood Community for adults with special needs and numerous mental health diagnoses.

By observing how each individual learns so differently, she learned her true passion was being involved with each child’s development.

Katie is excited to be part of The Monarch Institute’s methodology and its therapeutic approach for individualizing strategies for setting each learner up to reach their greatest potential.
In her spare time she loves to exercise, attend Aggie football games, and travel with friends and family.
