Michelle Karam, B.A.

Professional Educator, Chrysalis Program
Professional Educators

Michelle graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Health Communication from the University of Houston. She is currently working towards her graduate degree in Health Communication from the University of Houston.

Michelle was referred to the school a few years ago by a friend and decided to go for a visit. She fell in love with the whole program and the mission it stands for, but mostly with the students. She has started as a permanent substitute here and loves that every new day at Monarch has a purpose and story. Michelle believes that the whole faculty and staff are such good influences for the students and do an amazing job as a team, they feel like her second family. She looks forward to coming to work every day and interacting with the children.

When she isn’t at Monarch, Michelle volunteers at MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as The American Red Cross. She believes that if she can make someone else happy, it makes her happy as well. In her free time she loves to sing, dance, workout, travel, and hang out with friends and get to know different cultures. Michelle can’t wait to see what Monarch will continue to offer her.
