Mary Zamora is a native Houstonian and has always had a passion for music and helping others. From a young age she participated in choirs and especially loved when they went to perform in different areas of the community. She completed her music therapy undergraduate degree at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX.

She gained experience working with pre-school students, adults with developmental disabilities, older adults with neurological damage, and older adults with dementia. This helped her to prepare for her internship at Fort Bend Independent School District where she worked within the special education department. She worked with a variety of children with developmental disabilities including, but not limited to: Autism, Intellectually Disabled, physically disabled, sensory impaired, neurologically impaired, ADHD, early childhood, and seizure disorders.

Mary believes that music is an inspiring and motivating resource that has the potential to reach a lot of people. She is a firm believer that every person should have an opportunity to be successful and looks forward to using music therapy to provide these successful experiences. She is excited to be at the Monarch School and to share her passion for learning and music with others.
