We offer student-operated, entrepreneurial experiences—so students can translate academic learning into meaningful, functional skills, develop an understanding of operating a business, and learn to work as a team to build business success. Opportunities include operating one of the many successful school-based businesses, meeting with local professionals, interning at corporations and participating in employee-related skill development. Some Life Academy experiences are revenue generating (jewelry, clothing, travel, meal preparation, gift baskets), some are revenue saving (operating school store, purchasing school supplies and furniture, car fleet purchases), and some are community service projects that make a contribution to the community (food gardens, Rotary service projects, sponsorship of Lemonade Day, MAM service projects).

As we prepare for the future, we honor the past successes of businessmen and women in the community. These special individuals take time to share their experiences with students and open doors for new opportunities. Speakers contribute more than business experience. They talk about life decisions and choices that have shaped their lives and the lessons that they have learned and continue to learn each day.
