Student Made Gifts

Student-made Products are Popular Gifts at Area Festivals and the Upcoming Holiday Sale December 4th and 5th

The Monarch Life Academy students represented their school for the fourth year at the Hearts and Hands Holiday Market for three days October 27th through the 29th.

Students had the opportunity to practice their communications and relationship skills as they met and mingled with the United Methodist Church members and members of the Houston community at this annual market.

This year, Production classes created products for their Spa Businesses, Jewelry Business, and Gift Baskets.

The student run businesses have received the benefit of donated materials including corks, cloth, and thousands of pieces of jewelry and beads.   These donations help develop the creativity of our students as they can make new products.

A highlight of the event was hearts cut from a hundred year old quilt which were sewn and filled with rosemary from the Monarch Life Academy garden.

These ‘worn hearts’ will also be featured at the Miracle Makers Morning and the Life Academy Holiday sale at the Monarch campus, December 4th and 5th.

We hope to see you at the many events where Monarch students shine, not only demonstrating the products that they have made, but also share these gifts with the Houston community and sharing their strengths through Monarch.
