Diana graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is bilingual (English and Spanish) and is a Texas certified teacher. Diana is currently in the process of obtaining her Texas state board license as a licensed professional counselor.

Before pursuing her Master’s degree, Diana was a teacher for ten years at private Catholic schools and Montessori schools. During that time, Diana discovered that she enjoys being in an educational setting and has a passion for working with students and their families. While interning at Monarch in 2017, she instantly fell in love with the school and everyone associated with it.

In addition to her internship at Monarch, Diana also interned at a private practice as part of her requirements for her Master’s program. Through these two experiences, Diana worked with all age groups and their families with a focus on children through adolescents. She gained experience treating a broad range of diagnoses using multiple theories and approaches.

Diana’s goal at Monarch is to help each individual student achieve his or her goal. She likes to make herself available to others and is a fan of open communication. She is also a true believer of continual education and is open-minded towards different approaches, theories and experiences.
