Shawn Hirsch, Ph.D, Licensed Psychologist, LSSP

Dr. Shawn Hirsch is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology who has worked with children, adolescents, and families since 1998. Dr. Hirsch earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Louisiana State University, Masters of Arts in Counseling from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, and his Ph.D. in School Psychology from Oklahoma State University. He completed his predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at Girls and Boys Town in Nebraska where he provided psychological services to adolescents in a residential treatment setting. He then completed his postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at the Girls and Boys Town Behavioral Pediatrics & Family Services Clinic where he provided comprehensive outpatient services to children, adolescents, and families. Prior to joining Monarch, Dr. Hirsch worked in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD as a School Psychologist, where he also served as Training Director for CFISD’s American Psychological Association accredited predoctoral psychology internship program. In addition, Dr. Hirsch has taught graduate level psychology courses for the University of Houston.
Dr. Hirsch serves as Senior Director of Clinical Services and Training, supervising all therapeutic facets of the Monarch School and Institute. He collaborates and coordinates with Monarch faculty to ensure that therapeutic services emphasize strengths based developmental growth and mastery opportunities. He trains and supervises graduate and postgraduate level interns in both treatment and assessment, supports families in developing competence in children with neurological differences, and coordinates care for students, their families, and ancillary caregivers.
