Sylvia LeBlanc was born and raised in Houston, and also reared in Lafayette, Louisiana where she spent major holidays and summer vacations. She attended HISD schools excelling in academics and extracurricular activities. Upon graduation, Sylvia attended Sam Houston State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Sylvia began her career in the nonprofit sector in 1993 and has since remained dedicated to helping local charities accomplish their respective missions. Over her 26 year career, she has raised millions of dollars for local charities through relationships with local corporations, foundations and individual donors.
Sylvia is also an experienced event planner, having planned large luncheons, galas, and conferences. Some highlights of her career include the 2016 NCAA Men’s National Basketball tournament, the 2016 COPA International Soccer Tournaments, Comcast Corporation’s 2016 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony Celebration and the 2017 Super Bowl.
Sylvia enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, cooking Creole dishes, and spending time with family and friends.
