YMCA Honors Monarch Student Intern

Leaders at the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA honored Ignacio “Nacho” Andrade recently, for his efforts in the campaign, volunteering and even his singing ability, at the Annual YMCA 2014 Annual Campaign Celebration

Nacho is an intern at the YMCA check-in desk, and as a volunteer he greets guests and helps out at the front desk. He was able to encourage members and guests that came in to use the facility to donate to the YMCA's annual campaign. His efforts amounted to almost $1,000 raised for the scholarship program.

"Everyone who worked the campaign was so impressed and his excitement was contagious", said Gina Peterson, Community Executive Director of the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA.

Nacho also volunteers his talent by lending his voice and his incredible singing abilities to events held at the YMCA.

As a result of all his support, he was unanimously voted as our “Rookie of the Year” at the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA.
