Chrysalis Summer Session 2015

Students Learn All About Water
-- From Fun to Life-Giving Properties

During the Summer Program, students in the Chrysalis Program learned about the importance of water in our daily lives.

Its importance to humans, plants, and animals as well as lessons about irrigation, bodies of water, weather and water, safety in and around water and hydration.
Using the common theme of water, each Chrysalis Program classroom had its lessons tailored to meet the individual academic and cognitive levels of each classroom.

Field trips also added to the excitement of water-theme activities and included trips to the Downtown Aquarium. Other field trips included Splash parks, the Houston Zoo and Houston Museum of Natural Science.

The Summer Program also offered students a chance to have FUN in the water on the Monarch campus and at the Duncan YMCA
