Danielle is originally from the Boston area and moved to Houston in April of 2015. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire and after graduation worked at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Ma.

She gained valuable experience working with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and intrusive thoughts and was able to coach exposure and response prevention therapy. She went back to school and received her Master of Social Work degree from Boston University in May of 2016. During the second year of her program, she worked and interned at the Department of Children and Families in Lowell Massachusetts. She managed a caseload of 20 families and worked with therapeutic, educational, and other support systems to maintain a safe environment for children and their families.

Danielle moved to Texas during the last year of her program and interned at the Lone Star Veterans Association, assisting veterans in their transition from military to civilian life. She was able to become familiar with other non-profits and resources in Houston. She was also able to take part in many suicide prevention training such as ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, and ASK Suicide Prevention.

Danielle loves working with children and adolescents and is very excited to be starting at a school that embraces each child’s differences and works to make learning enjoyable for them. In her spare time Danielle likes to go for walks with her dog, explore Houston, and go back to New England as often as she can to spend time with family and friends.
