Admissions Process

Applications for the upcoming 2024–2025 academic school year officially commenced on January 3, 2024, for priority consideration for the Fall semester (first day of school in August of 2024). Although our school maintains a year-round rolling admissions policy, we encourage parents and guardians to submit their student's completed application by June 10th. We aim to complete the admissions process within a 2-week window.

The application is submitted online and a non-refundable $570 application fee is paid.

  1. The admissions application, and required supplementary documentation is reviewed by the Admissions Director and the Admissions Team in order to determine if the appropriate testing has been submitted, if the applicant’s therapeutic needs can be met at The Monarch School, and to make a preliminary recommendation regarding the appropriate program level for the prospective student. A decision to proceed is confirmed.

  2. The Admissions Director will then schedule a 1-hour Zoom meeting with the prospective student and their parent(s), Program Director, and members of the Therapeutic team.

  3. An on-campus Day Visit typically follows the 1-hour Program Level Interview.

  4. The Admissions team meets to determine the prospective student’s acceptance into the program.

  5. If the student is accepted, a meeting is scheduled for the parent(s) to meet with the Head of School to review and execute their enrollment contract and make their first tuition payment.

  6. After the school receives the signed contract, enrollment deposit of $500 (separate from the $550 application fee), and tuition down payment of $1800, educators and psychologists begin constructing the student’s initial treatment plan.

  7. If The Monarch School is not able to meet a prospective student’s needs, the parent(s) will receive placement recommendations. Alternative considerations may be offered at this time in an optional feedback meeting with the parent(s). If Monarch is able to meet a prospective student’s needs, but current enrollment is filled to capacity, a prospective student will be placed in a waiting pool.

If testing data is current and complete, this process normally takes a minimum of 2-4 weeks. If diagnostic testing is incomplete, updated testing may be required as part of the admissions process.

The Monarch School admits all qualified students to the privileges, programs, and activities made available to the student body. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, or national origin in the admission, or financial aid programs. The school adheres to the policies stated in the policy handbook.
