Elizabeth Laurie
COTA
With a decade of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), Elizabeth is passionate about improving the lives of children and families through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. She earned my Bachelor’s in Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and her OTA degree from LoneStar College - Tomball. Elizabeth has worked with pediatric populations in various settings, including private practice, home health, and schools.
Elizabeth's training spans sensory integration, vision therapy, reflex integration, Integrated Listening System (ILS), Bal-A-Vis-X, astronaut training, DIR Floortime, handwriting interventions, and ADHD supports. She is committed to continuous learning and is an active member of the Texas Occupational Therapy Association, where she has served on the board three times. She is currently on the San Jacinto OTA Program Board.
Elizbeth believes Occupational Therapy is her true calling, and she is excited to bring her skills and compassion to the learners at Monarch, helping them reach their full potential. Outside of work, Elizabeth loves traveling with her husband, caring for her daughter, and enjoying time with her Labrador, Shamsie, and cat, Sophie. She also enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and making memories with her family.
